Principal's Corner

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Ruleville Middle School! I am honored to serve as your principal and excited to continue building a culture of excellence for our students, staff, and community.

I am a proud 22-year educator, wife, mother, coach, and advocate for children who believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and athletically. My mission aligns fully with Superintendent James Johnson-Waldington’s motto, “Champions for Children,” as we remain committed to ensuring every decision, expectation, and opportunity is centered on student success.

My educational foundation began at Delta State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with a minor in Psychology. I later returned to complete my Master’s Degree in the Master of Arts in teaching program, and continued advancing my leadership journey with additional preparation in administration and educational leadership. I am also proud to have worked alongside dedicated educators through the National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) Cohort and the Mississippi Principal’s Institute, where I collaborated with administrators across the Mississippi Delta and emerged as a strong instructional and organizational leader among my peers.

I am a proud member of the Kappa Pi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where I continue my commitment to service, leadership, and uplifting communities.

Throughout my career, I have been blessed to experience success both in the classroom and in the sports arena as an educator and coach. I have competed for several state championships, most notably leading the TEHS Lady Tigers Basketball Team to the 2020 State Championship Runner-Up title. During that time, I also had the privilege of coaching exceptional student-athletes, including the 2020 Mississippi Girls Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year, a 2-time Mississippi Dandy Dozen select, and 5-star recruit, Jacorriah Bracey. Additionally, I served as Head Girls Track Coach for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, and J’Arreul Hogan captured two state titles in the MHSAA Class 3A Girls Shot Put. These experiences reflect my deep belief in discipline, development, and the power of high expectations.

As principal of Ruleville Middle School, my goal is to shape the minds, character, and behaviors of students so they become academically focused, responsible, and prepared for future success. I expect our students to arrive ready to learn each day, our parents to remain active and engaged partners, and our staff to uphold a standard of excellence through professionalism, consistency, and care.

Together, we will build a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where every student is seen, supported, and challenged to achieve greatness.

Fun fact: I’m a daddy’s girl, and I love sneakers!
